Jaguar have confirmed that a concept car, the C-X16, will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Jaguar state that it is their smallest car since the 1954 Jaguar XK120, at: 4,445 millimetres (175.0 in) length; 2,048 millimetres (80.6 in) width; 1,297 millimetres (51.1 in) height. This makes its closest rival in scale the fellow two seat Porsche Cayman, but the C-X16 is made of aluminium. The C-X16 is powered by a new 3.0 Litre petrol V6, which coupled to a supercharger develops 375 brake horsepower (280 kW) and 332 pound-feet (450 N·m) of torque. Also in the drive train is a 95 brake horsepower (71 kW) electric motor, which can power the vehicle on its own up to 50 miles per hour (80 km/h), using a 1.6Kwh battery charged through brake regeneration. The engine bay is big enough to accommodate Jaguars petrol V8 or 3.0 Litre diesel engines.
